By contributing to Frequency, the team at Unfinished Labs has learned a lot about what it will take to enable the decentralized Social Web to reach a massive scale. Because the Frequency chain has been adopted by a Web 2.0 app with a user base of millions, chain development has taken the project to the front lines of migrating mainstream users to the new world of Web3. This has led to discoveries to overcome common usability challenges. The demands of decentralized social, with transactions occurring at the frequency of messages, posts, and likes, require radical rethinking on how transactions are handled, and takes questioning conventional Web3 wisdom and beliefs about the journey to onboard a traditional app user to this new world. We'll review architecture approaches designed to minimize the difficulties that people face when trying to adapt to the unique benefits that Web3 offers. We'll share insights on how to make it easier for traditional app businesses to adopt Web3 infrastructure. And we'll take you through both the obstacles we've seen and the strategies that could pave the way for Web3 to be adopted by even the largest user bases.
